Dr. Gordon Jackson

As I started to write this introduction, a memory came to mind. I had my first public speaking lessons from a teacher, who also coached members of the UK Parliament.

I still remember the lesson on how to handle heckling. After sharing some great techniques to re-establish order, my teacher cautioned that a large group of well-coordinated individuals will always succeed. Therefore, it is always important to know the location of the nearest exit. Thankfully, I have never had to act on her advice.
